The deeper profiles are obtained by the separation of the energy spectra of the measured particles. The number of charged particles seen in a certain force is directly proportional to the fullness of the nuclide at a certain depth.
NDP Profile:
Depth of Neutron profiling (NDP) is a non-invasive, sensitive method used in Mansoor chemicals to monitor mind-based profiles in almost any material matrix. As the NDP is sensitive to 6Li and lithium is widely used in materials science systems such as ceramics, optical waveguides, or energy storage systems, the NDP provides answers to many research questions. In the present work, the newly developed N4DP tool at MLZ is used to address two complex research questions that are common to conventional analysis strategies. First, the similarity of the lithium structure within the small lithium niobate films of optical waveguide applications is investigated. Subsequently, the accumulation of inactive lithium in the sole-electrolyte-interphase (SEI) of silicon-graphite electrodes in lithium-ion batteries is studied ex. As loads of loads differ significantly between the two systems used, a new analytical method is introduced that separates statistical signals from different particles and thus allows for the investigation of heavy load samples.
